CZPZ proposed lawyer Asen Georgiev for a member of the Audit committee of the ministry of health. With an order from the minister of health the Audit committee was created and its objective is to carry out an audit of the procedures and the actions of the ministry in the sphere of medicine policy, holding of tenders and procurement of life-saving and life-supporting medicines. Till this moment the Audit committee has not begun work. In this relation in the ministry of health a request was submitted by Asen Georgiev to the Chief secretary and Chairman of the Audit committee Ms Nikolova with the request to provide information about the presence of standardized procedures for preparation of specifications, for holding of tenders, for provision of supply of medicines and also for quantities in stock of medicines under Regulation 34, signed annexes to contracts for 2009, prepared specifications for 2010 and other data necessary for the audit of the medicine policy of the ministry.
